Hierarchy Panel

Overview

The Hierarchy panel contains all the content in the level displayed in a hierarchical structure. Some operations can be performed here, such as deleting objects, showing or hiding objects, object links, etc.

Selecting Objects

The Object can be single or group selected. You can left-click on the object for the single selection. Shift plus left-click is for multi-selection, and Ctrl plus left-click is for deselection.

Filtering Objects

Find the required resource quickly. Each character entered causes the object tree to be filtered once. If the object name contains that substring, it will be displayed in the Object Tree.

Object Types

The object types are listed in the Type columns.

Linking Objects

Objects can be linked together to move, scale or rotate the object collections. When using Gizmo to move the top-level object or the parent object, all the child objects will be moved with it.

Sorting Objects

Sorting in the Hierarchy panel:

  • You can sort the objects by Name or Type.

  • After opening the level for the first time, the Hierarchy panel is not sorted by default.

  • After the first click to sort, the objects will be sorted in ascending order, and in descending order after the second click.

Sort by Name: Click Name, all objects are sorted in ASCII order by name.

Sort by Type: Click Type, all objects are sorted in ASCII order by type.
